Blogging through iphone
I’m testing this post blogging through iPhone hehe
Almost give up but i wont
I just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She’s 2 months now and i love her sooo much. she has green eyes i dont know where she got that from as me and my husband, we’re asian.
So i yesterday was my first day back to work after 70 days of leave. As soon as i sat down on my chair i realized how i hated working 9-5pm and back to wanting to do what i love.
i want to be my own boss. i want to quit my job but i cant because we both need to work to take care of Safia. i almost give up with my dreams and vision but i wont.
i wont!
The 10,000 hours rule
I’m currently reading The Outliers. Usually i can finish a book in one or 2 days max but this book has dragged me for months. i love it but i don’t know i realized when i read it, i would stop and do some thinking. ;p
I’m only at the part where they are talking about The Termites aka The Genius.
But i kept thinking bout the 10,000 hours rule that Malcolm Gladwell kinda mentioned it in the whole chapter.
They said if you want to master something, you just have to MAKE the time or OPPORTUNITY to practice for 3 hours/day, 7 days/week, everyday for the next 10 yrs.
Well i’m going to give it a try ;p
Good luck!

Focus on what you DO have, don’t dwell on what you DON’T
From Isobella Jade’s blog:
“It is common to dwell on what we don’t have, what we are not, but that usually doesn’t bring you forward towards your goals and happiness while chasing them, focus on what you DO have, and using what you DO have to get ahead. It is so important in modeling, and in life, to accept, use and give attention to what you do have.”
I adore her.
Why we read Self Enrichments articles and books
The other day i was chatting with a friend and he told me he doesn’t like to read self-enrichments or motivational books or articles because he taught those people who do have low self esteems or problems and they needed help.
Well i hope no one else thinks like that because let me tell you why some of us love to read Self-Enrichments articles and books.
1) You need it as a push factor in life
2) It improves your behavior and personality
3) It gives you different perspective in life
4) It will not let you give up in whatever you are pursuing
Who/what are your motivations? Your spouse, your children, your family…and sometimes you need to read to remind you that you have these people/things (because hey, we’re human. We tend to be ungrateful sometimes)
You learnt new things, new approach, new self development.
When you read about other people’s successful stories, you learnt their struggles and hard work.
I understand some people have their own opinion but i would say we have to be more open minded and look at the good things of other people’s interests.

This picture was taken by a good friend of mine. I don’t know the gender yet but can’t wait to see the baby tho!
Putting my modeling passion on hold now. I will continue pursuing it after few more months.

Sometimes its just under your nose
I have talked bout Visualization in last post but i never mention about the Vision Board. Well if you have seen or read The Secret there is one part where they talked about the Vision Board.
The Vision Board is a section where you put up your dreams. i.e. dream car, dream house, dream job…etc. you can have a Vision Book too to write bout them.
Well i am going to share with you about my own.
At my work desk, i have this small corner besides my pc monitor which i called “My Little Fashion Corner”. I have pictures of pretty models modelling clothes, bags, shoes…etc. but all of them are pics of beauty shots or full shots. I have it since long time ago i can’t remember. I know i have always liked modelling but i figured because i’m short so i don’t really bother asking myself whether thats what i want to do in life. and i thought that when i do TV Commercials and Print ads, its more like a hobby to a passion.
Not until i realized why i put the pics up and put more and more and study their poses everytime i stare at them. that little section in my office IS my Vision Board.
And i’m happy to announce that after years of searching, i finally found my Passion in life. How and will i be successful in pursuing it? i dont know but now that i know what my target is, i will work towards it.
Thank you Ms. Jade
One fine day at work i was quite free to read more self-enrichments articles and successful stories. And it was then i googled “petite models” just to see who are making big names as a ‘small-size’ girl in the fashion scenes.
I found a blog. Dedicated to aspiring petite models and written by one
Her name is Isobella Jade. She is now my idol. Standing only 5’3 but she’s a supermodel in NYC. Isobella has inspired me in many ways. Not only i got tips on how to be a professional petite model but its also how you push yourself and work hard hard hard to be someone you want to be.
She has her own Radio Talk Show, Youtube videos (tips), illustrated novel/comic ‘Model life’ and memoir Almost 5’4. I just reserved the book, getting it after CNY!
Believe in yourself, it will take you places.

Famous Entrepreneurs story
Haven’t been blogging for so long. i was so lazy to do anything.
i found a new website. when i have free time in the office, i always go to this site about Famous Entrepreneurs stories. Its Evan Carmichael’s site.
i’m so hooked on.
I read about Walt Disney, Vera Wang, Donald Trump, Simon Cowell (oh yes), Ralph Lauren, Estee Lauder, Oprah Winfrey… and my favourite story is.. Debbie Fields’
What makes me remember her than the rest is because of her strong will and determination (well its more than that ). She doesnt have a degree, she didn’t finish school, the only thing she has was a cookie recipe and a dream.
She was turned down by huge number of bankers but she didn’t take no for answer. She knew someone out there will say ‘yes’. And she’s right.
Her own husband and parents didn’t believe in her. She was alone from the start. She was even challenged by the husband that her cookies wont be sold for $50 on the first day. Well, she proved him wrong.
I wonder would you continue chasing your dreams if people around not supporting you?
