To Petite by Petite

For those with Big Dreams ;)

Thank you Ms. Jade

One fine day at work i was quite free to read more self-enrichments articles and successful stories. And it was then i googled “petite models” just to see who are making big names as a ‘small-size’ girl in the fashion scenes.

I found a blog. Dedicated to aspiring petite models and written by one :D

Her name is Isobella Jade. She is now my idol. Standing only 5’3 but she’s a supermodel in NYC. Isobella has inspired me in many ways. Not only i got tips on how to be a professional petite model but its also how you push yourself and work hard hard hard to be someone you want to be.

She has her own Radio Talk Show, Youtube videos (tips), illustrated novel/comic ‘Model life’ and memoir Almost 5’4. I just reserved the book, getting it after CNY!

Believe in yourself, it will take you places.

  1. I’m interested to becoming a model but my height is only 153cm. It’s much much shorter than her. Can i be a model? But i can’t really get a channel to enter this line.

    • Dear Germine,

You have to remember something that i learnt from Isobella Jade is that being a model does not mean that you have to be more than 5’5. Petite girls like us can do many other types of modeling besides catwalk. Modeling includes TV Commercials, Print Ads, Parts model (hand, eyes). If you are interested to be in TV Commercials you can read one of my previous blogs i wrote and try to go for castings and auditions. :)

If you want to be in Print Ads, i suggest you engage a good photographer, take pics of your best features and make a comp card, this was also advised by our Ms Jade :) Check out sample in http://www.compcard.com. Your pics have to be more like catalogs than modeling to show more personality ;)

      Good luck!
