Who Do You Want to Be. Visualize it.
I have to admit, i’m not a good writer. I like to keep it simple, make it easier to understand and so that it feels like i’m talking to you instead of you reading it.
Do you know who do you want to be in another 10 – 15 years? Try. Please try harder. Close your eyes. Visualize it. No? Nothing?
Let me help you.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath. Choose a person that you’re envious of or looked up to. Someone successful maybe? Famous and talented?
Lets take one example, Donald Trump.
Imagine he’s flying first class on the way to see a business partner in Paris. Having all the plane for himself, spacious, special cooked fresh meal, goddess waitress, entertainment room…name it. When he gets there, his limousine is waiting, assistants carrying his bags and off to the most expensive hotel in Paris.
Open your eyes. And the mini voice is saying ‘Oh man, wish i can trade places with him now.’
Well you got it!
OK, close your eyes again. Rewind everything but this time, YOU are the leading man!
When you’re done with this exercise and feel satisfied, you’ll know that THAT is what you WANT TO BE. This is what we called Visualization.
Do this over and over again so your ‘WANTs’ will focus on getting this things. Don’t think about how or when..don’t be impatient or greedy. Study your ‘wants’, focus and work towards it. Write them somewhere where you can keep seeing it all the time.
If along the way you get confused with what you want to be, do this exercise again. Even better, do it every fortnight. Because being a human being we easily get distracted with surroundings (you might keep changing your vision, that is dangerous).
Just remember to stay focus.
Yes need to do my Visualization exercise again.
Later!
Your Subconscious Mind
Is there such thing subconscious mind? The way i see it, it’s actually something that came across your mind because your heart secretly wanted it…or it also can be the opposite side, scared if it’s going to happened.
I’m sure you have gone through this.
You’re going to work. You saw your file that you’re supposed to bring to work on the table. So you were thinking..let me just grab my keys and shoes..but then i might forget the file..hmm maybe not.
You grabbed the keys and shoes and tada…you left the file.
So your subconscious mind have warned you “…i might forget the file…”
If you’ve seen or read The Secret, they said “The Universe just granted your wish without knowing whether its bad or good for you..”
It’s the same concept you see? The Law of Attraction.
Think only Positive things. Try to fight the negative vibes in you. If you ever had to talk to someone who’s complaining all day, try to inject all the positive energy you can.
Let me give you another example; let say you came across a contest. but you kept flipping. Suddenly you heard a BIG voice in your head saying “Try enter the contest, you might be lucky”.
Thats your subconscious mind. So when you heard or felt that. Just go for it!…and not just that, BELIEVE that you are going to WIN it!
Same applies to your dreams
Go ahead and chase them.
The Outliers.
My brother in law just introduced to me this new book.

The Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
So i asked him “What is this about?” being skeptical, as i always find myself reading the same thing…chasing dreams. (which i love anyways).
“It’s about how the surroundings make these successful people, successful..it is not solely about that person…doesn’t matter if he’s a genius, but its also the environment.”
What is it? Opportunity? Luck?? What the hell Outliers means anyways??? I want to read it!
“I’m still halfway through though. Will let you borrow them once i’m done.”
“OK!”
Anyways, well i wont be able to read The Outliers now but you should go ahead and find it! This is something different
P/S: I’m currently reading “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind”.

7 Ways to Find Out What You Want to Do
Article by Cherry Douglas
“You know, it is the lack of career change ideas that seems to keep many would-be career changers stuck. One of the things that clients often say to me is:
“I know I want to change careers, to do something different, but I just don’t know what I want to do instead.”
The problem is they are stuck in a pattern of boxed-in thinking that prevents them from seeing the wealth of possibilities that are out there.
Would you like some tips to help you get out of that place and to help you to generate a range of new career ideas to explore? Then read on.
Tip 1 – Forget Job Titles
Job titles really inhibit your thinking. If I asked you to list all the jobs you could think of, you might come up with a couple of hundred before you ran dry. In reality there are thousands of jobs out there that you would never identify under your own steam, so forget the job title and focus instead on the key themes that are important for you in a job. What do you want your dream job to involve?
Tip 2 – List what you don’t want to do
This is often quite easy to do if you are in a job you hate and it is a very useful exercise. It helps you focus on the aspects of a job that really drive you nuts and then also pick out those that are annoying in your current job but actually you’d be prepared to put up with to some degree in a different situation. When you identify something as a no-no, ask if it would always be no under all circumstances. This will help you to avoid rejecting jobs in a knee-jerk way because they share similarities with your current role.
Tip 3 – List what you think you should want to do
What do you think your career should look like? What pressure are you putting on yourself to confirm to certain benchmarks (eg I must be earning a certain salary, I should be in a professional role, it must be something that other people will respect and admire me for). Just check with yourself whose rules you are following here. Who exactly says that your career must look like this? Is this really what you want or what other people say you should aspire to?
Tip 4 – List what you would do if anything were possible
Yes, you are allowed to take the brakes off here and create a big dream. Forget the constraints you put on yourself, wherever they come from. If your fairy godmother arrived to take you to the ball, what job or career would you ask her to line up for you as part of the deal?
Tip 5 – List what you would do if you gave yourself permission to say that you want it
So often, we limit the possibilities in our lives because we just don’t allow ourselves to want something. Maybe you want to earn lots of money – but that seems too greedy. Maybe you want to have an easy, quiet job – but that seems too lazy. Maybe you want to set up your own business – but you can’t because you have to think about so many other people in your life first. What do you need to give yourself permission to want to do?
Tip 6 – Reinvent yourself
If you could rewind the tape on your life and re-run it, what would you do? If you could dump all the stuff, the rules, the history that you have gathered on your journey through life to this point and travel light without the baggage, where would your journey take you? What would the new you look like and what work would this new person be doing? What does this tell yu about what would really inspire you?
Tip 7 – Think big and think small
Your new career does not have to be something world changing and grand. If you want to change the world, great! Go ahead and build your new career around this big vision. But if you feel drawn to operating on a more local scale, that’s fine too. Small changes can be just as transforming for your career and your life as big ones, so don’t be fooled into thinking that bigger is necessarily better. Career change success is about finding what feels right for you.
So take some time to think about your career change with these 7 tips in mind – and by time I mean days, weeks, maybe even months if necessary. Changing career is a big step, so allow yourself the time and space to really think it through.”
I just have to have his article on my blog. its so good, i keep reading it.
Need Good Motivation?
I know we feel stressed sometimes, and on worse days, it can get to the depressed level.
Because i am working full time and do other things at other times, i feel like there are too many datelines and too many objectives that i need to achieve in a day.
And sometimes it’s not just about that particular day. When you are frustrated with your work, everything in your life seems to be wrong isn’t it?
One thing bout me is i’m easily bounced back. Maybe because i don’t grow up in a perfect family. For some friends, i am their shoulder to cry on and a place where they can share their depression and hoping i have some answers.
Sometimes i don’t but mostly i do. Because i love to read good motivational books. Trust me, these books are really good. We all need good motivation. They keep you going, give you hope and promise you that you can do anything that you aspired to be!

How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be - Jack Canfield
My personal favourite is “How to Get from Where you Are to Where you Want to Be.” by Jack Canfield. He is my favourite favourite favourite author. He is also the writer of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” ( Honestly, i haven’t read that yet). It will indirectly changed your mindset and tell you to take responsibilities of ALL your actions. You have to read it for yourself
You can find them at MPHs or Kinokuniya.
Well if you don’t like reading or not even going to try, i know one good solution for you..a video! Watch “The Secret”. Another good motivation. It is one of the best selling books too, i read it
only for this particular one, the video is the bomb! Watch to understand totally about Law of Attraction- it tells you on how to attract all the positive things in life.
Here’s the 20 mins review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b1GKGWJbE8

How to be in TV Commercials
If you are a petite girl like me (i am 5’1) and want to be a model, you may want to consider TV Commercial & Print Ads. Well, you can try for catwalks too, some clothing lines might accept petite girls but i just don’t think it’s our bread and butter you know…not just yet (you can be the first one!).
I am fortunate enough to be exposed into TV Commercials and earned some extra cash out of them. So i thought it would be cool to share with you girls who have the same interest as me.
What to do to be in TV Commercials:
Getting Ready for the Casting
1. Put a nice clothes. Casting agents prefer plain tops. Try to avoid Black or White.
2.Wear a pair of stilettos. That will make you looked sexier, slimmer and taller.
3.Don’t wear a heavy make up. Keep it as natural as you can, but do not go without make up at all! At least the basic ones i.e. foundations, loose powder, concealer, mascara and lip gloss or natural lipstick color.
4.Call the casting agencies and set up for appointment. I can give some of the names of Casting Agencies in Malaysia you can go to.
Famous Artistes – 03 7725 9661
D’Casting - 03 2282 6133
Mugshots -03 6274 7963
*there are more, you can try google them – FACES, Mooka, Cheese…
At the casting agencies (or also called talent agencies), they will take your profile picture, some will take a video of you, and some even ask you to do a little bit of acting
So here’s what happened. After they take your photos, profile and video, they will keep them as their talent records. Their job is as a ‘middle person’ between the Production houses (the company that shoots the commercials) and talents (you!).
So when the Production houses have ads to shoot they will call these talent agencies to get all talents profiles that meets the criteria of their clients. (Clients are those who pays the production houses to do their adverts i.e. Coca cola, Celcom…etc)
The talent agency will call you again to tell you whether you got a job or to go for shortlisted talents audition.
Some tips:
1)Try to go for all castings/auditions whenever your agent calls you to go. If you always missed it or get lazy to go for them, they will not call you in the future.
2)You don’t pay for anything when you go for casting. Those who ask for payments are not the establish ones. Avoid them.
3)Agents usually take 10% out of your payment whenever u get jobs called by them.
4)After shooting, they should pay you max of 3 months not more than that.
So thats about it
Call them now and start to make appointment. Good luck!
